Original German or Austrian WW1 WW2 Sword Scabbard

This military sword scabbard is constructed from pressed steel, featuring a dark-painted finish with surface oxidation and minor dents. The throat is fitted with retention springs, and a single suspension band with a ring is attached to the upper section. Dating from the early to mid-20th century, this scabbard was designed for a German or Austrian military sword. Used during the World War eras, it protected the blade from moisture and secured the weapon to a soldier's gear. The scabbard throat retains its shape, allowing a standard blade to be inserted. The drag at the tip shows wear from ground contact, and no manufacturer markings are visible.
