This Austro-Hungarian court sword features a slender, straight steel blade showing minor age spots. The gilded brass hilt has a detailed lion-head pommel, mother-of-pearl grip, and a single guard, paired with a black leather scabbard featuring brass mounts. Dating to the 19th century, this ceremonial sword was worn by officials at the imperial court of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Serving as a status symbol, it reflected the rank and elaborate dress codes of the Habsburg dynasty. The blade is engraved with floral motifs and imperial coats of arms. The mother-of-pearl grip scales are intact, and the leather scabbard features a brass throat with a frog button.
