This military bayonet features a straight, single-edged steel blade with a dark phosphate finish, showing light surface wear. The hilt is composed of a steel pommel, steel crossguard, and two wooden grip scales. The steel-mounted leather scabbard has a round frog stud. Manufactured in 1944 at the Rifle Factory Ishapore (RFI) in India, this Model No.1 MKII bayonet was designed for the Lee-Enfield rifle. Used by British-Indian forces during the Second World War, it served in campaigns across the Pacific and Middle Eastern theaters. The ricasso is stamped with the "GRI" crown mark and "R.F.I. 1944". The wooden grips are securely fastened with two screws. The leather scabbard is intact, featuring a steel throat and chape.
