Italian 1832 Pattern Senior Officer Sword

This Italian officer sword features a straight steel blade decorated with blue and gilt panels. The gilded brass hilt has an openwork guard and mother-of-pearl grip, preserved without its original scabbard. Dating to 1832, this sword was the sidearm for a high-ranking officer in the pre-unification Italian states.
