Offered here is a very rare and original Imperial Russian Shashka, Model 1881, dating to the World War I period.

This classic Russian cavalry officer’s sword features a traditional curved single-edged blade characteristic of the M1881 pattern. The blade shows age-consistent wear and patina, with surface marks from service and storage, consistent with an antique military sidearm of this era.

The hilt is of the typical pattern, showing honest age and use. The sword is accompanied by its original scabbard, which shows matching age, wear, and patina. The scabbard remains structurally sound.

No modern alterations observed. The item is offered as-is, exactly as shown in the photographs. Please review all images carefully, as they form an important part of the description.

A scarce and highly collectible example of an Imperial Russian shashka from the final years of the Tsarist era.
