Argentine M1898 Cavalry Service Saber

This Argentine cavalry saber features a curved steel blade showing a bright finish. The steel hilt consists of a bowl-shaped guard and checkered composite grip, accompanied by a matching steel scabbard with a single suspension ring. Dating to the late 19th century, this saber was manufactured in Solingen by WKC for the Argentine military. Adopted for cavalry troopers, the design was based on European models, representing Argentina's military modernization. The blade ricasso is stamped with the Argentine coat of arms and the WKC mark. The guard shows minor handling marks, and the steel scabbard fits the blade tightly.
