This converted Canadian bayonet features a single-edged steel blade with a clip point, showing a dark grey patina and sharpening scuffs. The hilt has a steel crossguard, a straight pommel, and two wooden grips. The brown leather scabbard has a reinforced metal throat. Originally produced as a Model 1910 bayonet for the Ross rifle, this weapon was shortened and converted into a utility fighting knife during the Second World War. Allied soldiers modified these bayonets to create a compact combat knife for field operations. The pommel is stamped with Canadian inspection marks and the Ross patent date. The blade shows signs of modification from its original profile. The leather scabbard remains flexible with intact stitching.
