German Weimar Period Army Officer Sword
This German officer's sword features a slightly curved steel blade with a single fuller, showing a bright finish and minor handling wear. The brass hilt has a D-guard with a folding section and a wire-wrapped composite grip. The black-painted steel scabbard has a single suspension ring. Dating to the Weimar Republic period, this sword was manufactured in Solingen by Carl Eickhorn for army ordnance officers. This interwar pattern bridged the transition between the Imperial German military traditions and the military reorganization of the 1930s. The blade ricasso is stamped with the Carl Eickhorn squirrel trademark. The folding guard features the Weimar-era German eagle emblem. The hilt is tight, and the black scabbard fits the blade perfectly.
