German 20th Century Leather Knife Scabbard

This knife scabbard is constructed from brown leather, featuring a steel throat and chape with a reinforced metal tip. The upper band is fitted with an integrated belt loop and a leather retaining strap with a metal snap. The leather shows minor surface cracks. Dating to the mid-20th century, this utility scabbard was manufactured in Germany for a hunting or military knife. Produced during the postwar era, it represents the standard leather and steel equipment exported for outdoor and sporting use. The back of the leather hanger is stamped "Made in Germany." The metal throat and chape are secured with small rivets. The stitching along the seam is intact, and the retention strap button is functional.
