This Italian officer sword features a slightly curved steel blade with detailed etchings. The brass hilt has a D-guard, wire-wrapped black grip, and an eagle pommel, paired with a matching steel scabbard having two suspension bands. Introduced in 1923, this sword was worn by officers of the Regia Aeronautica during the Kingdom of Italy period. Used during the Second World War, it served as a ceremonial sidearm representing the Italian aviation corps. The blade is etched with the Italian crown and eagles. The guard features a folding section, the pommel shows detailed casting, and the steel scabbard fits securely.
