This naval dirk features a slender steel blade, a brass crossguard shaped like anchors, and an imitation ivory grip. The brass-fitted leather scabbard is in well-preserved condition. Issued to officers of the Royal Danish Navy during the 20th century, this ceremonial dirk was worn as part of the formal dress uniform. It reflects traditional maritime symbolic designs of the Baltic region. The ricasso is marked by the manufacturer in Copenhagen (Kjøbenhavn). The gilded brass fittings on the scabbard are engraved with anchor motifs, and the hilt remains tight and secure.
