This ceremonial dress dagger features a single-edged, nickel-plated steel blade, a zinc alloy hilt with plating, and checkered black synthetic grips. The black metal scabbard has its leather hanger. Issued to municipal fire department personnel in Germany during the Second World War, this dagger was worn for formal parades and events. It was produced by the Carl Eickhorn company. The blade is stamped with the Eickhorn squirrel trademark, remaining bright with no pitting. The set includes a leather hanger that shows minor flexing wear but remains structurally sound.
