Irish 19th Century Gilded Court Sword

This courtly dress sword features a slender triangular steel blade with etched decoration, a gilded brass guard with a beaded rim, and a matching hilt. The leather scabbard has gilded brass mounts. Used during formal court ceremonies in Dublin or London during the 19th century, this sword was part of the diplomatic or aristocratic dress uniform.
