This yataghan-style bayonet features a curved steel blade with a deep fuller, a ribbed brass grip, and a leather scabbard with brass fittings. The blade is bright and clean. Designed for the Remington Rolling Block rifle, this Danish Model 1867 bayonet was manufactured under contract by Alexander Coppel in Solingen. It remained in service through the First World War. The ricasso is stamped with the maker's logo and Danish inspection marks. The leather scabbard is paired with its original leather frog, which displays typical age checking.
