Danish WWI Model 1889 Krag Bayonet Knife
VERY RARE Danish Model 1889 Krag–Jørgensen Rifle Bayonet Boot Knife w/Scabbard
An exceptionally rare Danish Model 1889 Krag–Jørgensen rifle bayonet, converted into a compact boot knife configuration. Originally produced for the Danish military, this early Krag bayonet is highly sought after by collectors, and examples altered into short fixed-blade knives are particularly scarce.
The blade retains its original profile characteristics, with visible age patina consistent with period use. The hilt and fittings show honest wear, reflecting its military history. The knife is accompanied by its scabbard, which also displays age-related wear and character.
Condition is as shown: structurally solid, with signs of age, handling, and possible period modification. No modern alterations are noted. This piece is offered as-is, making it an excellent collectible for advanced bayonet, Krag–Jørgensen, or edged-weapon collectors.
