This military sword features a straight steel blade with patriotic etchings, a brass guard with folding counterguard, and a shagreen grip. The steel scabbard shows light surface rust and discoloration. Adopted in 1860, this Staff and Field Officer's pattern was carried by US Army officers during the Indian Wars and Spanish-American War. It remains a classic symbol of late 19th-century American leadership. The blade displays faint etched motifs of eagles and flags, showing historical graying.
