German WWII Wehrmacht Officer Dagger Hangers

This pair of ceremonial hangers consists of two velvet-backed fabric straps decorated with silver bullion lace, fitted with zinc alloy buckles and spring clips. The straps and metal fittings are in well-preserved condition. Worn by officers of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War, these hangers were designed to suspend the army dress dagger from the uniform belt. They were worn for parades and formal occasions. The buckles feature detailed oak leaf motifs in crisp relief, retaining much of their original silvered finish. The spring clips are fully functional with strong internal tension and no structural defects.
