This military bayonet features a straight steel blade with a deep fuller, wooden grip scales, and a steel scabbard. The metal components show typical gray patination and light oil staining. Designed for the Turkish Model 1935 Mauser rifle, this bayonet was the standard infantry sidearm of the Turkish army during the World War II era. It represents Turkish military modernization. The pommel is stamped with a serial number and Turkish inspection marks. The wooden grip scales show expected field wear and bruises, secured to the tang by two steel rivets.
