Italian WWI-WWII Carcano Bayonet by Terni
Original WWI / WWII Italian M1891 Mannlicher–Carcano Bayonet by TERNI
Offered for sale is an original Italian M1891 Mannlicher–Carcano bayonet, manufactured at the Royal Arms Factory of Terni, one of Italy’s primary military arsenals. This pattern saw service during World War I and continued use into World War II.
The bayonet features the correct straight blade profile with period markings consistent with TERNI production (see photos for exact details). The blade shows honest wear, light surface marks, and patina consistent with age and military service. It remains straight and structurally sound.
The handle and mounting hardware are intact, with no major damage noted. The locking mechanism appears functional. Overall condition reflects authentic field use rather than restoration.
A solid and collectible example of an Italian military bayonet with strong historical significance, suitable for collectors of WWI / WWII edged weapons or military history displays.
