Original Antique Post–Civil War U.S. Non-Regulation Officer’s Sword (c. 1870) w/Scabbard

Authentic post–Civil War U.S. Non-Regulation Officer’s sword dating to around the 1870s. This type of privately purchased sidearm was commonly carried by officers during the Indian Wars period.

The sword shows honest age wear, including patina and light surface marks consistent with its time. The blade retains its original form , and the hilt fittings remain stable. The scabbard is original to the piece and shows expected period wear but fits the sword properly.
