Antique 1760s British Officer’s Sword w/ Scabbard – Revolutionary & Napoleonic Wars Era

Up for sale is a rare and authentic mid-18th century British Officer’s Sword, dating to the 1760s. This fine example predates the American Revolutionary War and continued in use during the Napoleonic era, making it a highly desirable artifact of both British and early American military history.

Period: Circa 1760s–early 19th century

Historical Context: Used during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783) and in service through the Napoleonic Wars (1796–1815)

Blade:Curved blade with one fuller; retains original form with honest patina and light service wear.

Hilt: Brass guard with simple knuckle bow;officer-style grip the handle is made of ivory with a metal insert in the center.

Scabbard:Leather scabbard with brass fittings; shows age-related wear but remains intact.

Dimensions: Overall length approx 33 1/2 in,blade length approx 28 in.

Condition: Good antique condition for its age. Blade solid, grip with age patina, scabbard complete. Collectors’ Note: Mid-18th century British officer’s swords are scarce survivors, especially with their scabbards.
