Scottish Edwardian Basket Hilt Officer Sword
Antique British Scottish Highland Infantry Officer’s Basket Hilt Sword – Edward VII Era (1901–1910)
Beautiful and authentic British Scottish Highland Infantry Officer’s sword from the Edward VII era, circa 1901–1910. This classic basket-hilt design features a finely pierced steel guard, traditional red liner, and a wire-bound shagreen grip in very good condition.
The etched double-edged blade shows the “E R VII” royal cypher and elegant floral and thistle motifs — typical of Edwardian officer’s swords. Blade remains clean with visible etching and light age patina.
A genuine early 20th-century Highland officer’s saber, representing the proud tradition of the Scottish regiments. Perfect for collectors of British militaria, antique swords, and Edwardian period arms.
Condition: Very good for age; patina and wear consistent with period use; hilt and grip remain solid.
