RARE Antique US Officer’s Eagle Head Sword with Scabbard – Model 1821 by Horstmann & Sons

Offered here is a rare antique U.S. Officer’s Eagle Head Sword, Model 1821, complete with its scabbard. Manufactured by the respected Philadelphia firm Horstmann & Sons, this sword represents an early 19th-century American officer’s sidearm, both functional and highly decorative.

Maker: Horstmann & Sons, Philadelphia – well-known U.S. sword maker supplying officers in the early–mid 19th century

Hilt: Distinctive eagle head pommel with ornate brass guard and grip

Blade: Single fuller blade with remnants of etching; patina and age-related wear present
