Austrian WW1 Carl Grasser Wien Sword Blade

This original sword blade features a straight, double-edged steel profile with dual fullers. The tang is intact but lacks its original hilt components. The steel surface displays moderate oxidation and grey patination. Manufactured by Carl Grasser in Vienna (Wien), this blade was intended for an Austrian or German officer's dress sword. Carl Grasser was a prominent supplier of military blades to the Austro-Hungarian Empire before its collapse. The ricasso is clearly stamped with the Carl Grasser Wien maker mark. The blade is sold as a loose component for restoration.
