Up for sale is an authentic Napoleonic French Cavalry Officer’s Sabre, dating to the First Empire period (early 19th century). This fine example features an engraved blade and classic officer’s hilt design, making it a highly desirable piece of Napoleonic militaria.
Origin: France, First Empire (Napoleonic era)
Blade: Curved, single-edged blade with fuller, beautifully engraved with floral and military motifs; age patina and light wear consistent with 200+ years of history.
Hilt: Brass guard with knuckle bow and ornate detailing; grip retains original wrapping (see photos for condition).
Scabbard:Leather sheath with brass fittings
Dimensions: Overall length approx 38 1/2 inches, blade length approx 31 3/4 inches.
Condition: Very good antique condition. Blade engraving visible, hilt solid, patina consistent with age and authenticity.
