A high-quality vintage reproduction of a British Army Model 1831 Mameluke staff officer's saber. The sword features a deeply curved, single-edged carbon steel blade, an ornate brass crossguard, and characteristic ivory-style grip scales. It is fitted with its matching metal scabbard. The M1831 pattern was officially adopted by the British military for general and staff officers, drawing direct inspiration from Middle Eastern cavalry swords encountered during campaigns in Egypt. This design remains in ceremonial use today. The blade displays extensive acid-etched decorative foliage, crown, and royal monogram motifs. The brass hilt fittings and scabbard suspension mounts are intact, displaying minor oxidation and surface wear.
