Original Austrian WW1 Cavalry Officer Sword with Scabbard

An authentic Austro-Hungarian cavalry officer's sword dating to the World War I era. The saber is designed with a broad, curved steel blade, a wide bowl-shaped steel guard with decorative piercings, and a textured sharkskin grip. It is paired with its original steel scabbard. This heavy saber was carried by Austrian cavalry officers during the mounted actions of the Great War. The pierced guard provided extensive hand protection while remaining lightweight enough for combat maneuvers. The steel blade shows a uniform grey patina with minor age spots but no structural defects. The sharkskin grip wrap remains tight and intact, and the steel scabbard features double suspension rings for mounting to a saddle.
