An authentic Yugoslavian military bayonet for the Mauser rifle, complete with its original steel scabbard. The piece is designed with a straight, fullered steel blade in its original dark blued finish, wooden grip scales, and a steel muzzle attachment guard. Manufactured in Yugoslavia shortly after World War II at the military enterprise Factory 44 (Zavodi Crvena Zastava), this bayonet is based on the German K98 pattern. It represents the post-war rearmament of the Balkan nation. Both the blade ricasso and the scabbard frog stud are stamped with the matching serial number 17750. The blued finish is remarkably intact, showing only light wear from being drawn from the scabbard.
