Original German WW1 Trench Boot Knife with Scabbard
An authentic Imperial German military trench knife, or "Grabendolch," from the World War I period. The dagger features a double-edged steel blade, a simple steel crossguard, and ribbed wooden grip scales secured by rivets. It includes its original black-finished metal scabbard with a spring clip. These compact daggers were officially issued or privately purchased by German soldiers for close-quarters fighting in the trenches of the Western Front. The design prioritized speed, utility, and reliable concealment in a boot or belt. The wooden grip scales show beautiful hand wear and minor handling marks. The steel blade has a grey patina, and the sheet-metal scabbard retains much of its original black finish and its operational belt-mounting clip.
