An authentic United States military M7 bayonet and matching M8A1 scabbard in well-preserved vintage condition. The bayonet features a parkerized carbon steel blade with a sharpened false edge, a steel guard with muzzle ring, and checkered plastic grips. Manufactured in 1969 by AET, this bayonet was standard issue for U.S. forces during the Vietnam War, designed to be mounted on the M16 rifle. It also served as a utility fighting knife in the field. The crossguard is stamped with the official AET manufacturer code and US military acceptance stamps. The green fiberglass scabbard has a steel throat and olive drab webbing belt attachment.
