Original Japanese WW2 Police Dirk Dagger Tanto
An authentic Imperial Japanese police dagger, styled in the traditional tanto form, from the early World War II period. The dagger is designed with a short, single-edged steel blade, brass guard fittings, and a wire-wrapped handle with municipal police emblems. It includes its original brass-mounted scabbard. Worn by officers of the Japanese civil police forces during the early Showa era, these daggers served as symbols of administrative authority. They were patterned after traditional Japanese swords but scaled for civilian uniform wear. The guard and pommel are decorated with stylized cherry blossoms and police insignias. The blade retains its original polished finish with minor surface abrasions, and the scabbard latch remains functional.
