An authentic German Kriegsmarine naval officer's sword from World War II in well-preserved collectible condition. The sword features a straight steel blade, a gilded brass folding guard with an anchor motif, and a wire-wrapped celluloid grip. It includes its original brass-mounted leather scabbard. Manufactured in Solingen by the renowned firm E. & F. Hörster, this saber was carried by officers of the German navy during World War II. The naval design represents a continuation of the imperial German maritime traditions. The blade displays traditional naval themed engravings and the Hörster manufacturer logo. The folding guard mechanism works perfectly, and the leather scabbard body is sturdy with all brass mounts securely attached.
