An original Imperial German Model 1898 (S98) bayonet with its corresponding scabbard, manufactured by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie (WKC). The bayonet is in good antique condition, showing clear manufacturer markings on the blade. The S98 bayonet was widely issued to Imperial German forces during the First World War for use with the Mauser Gewehr 98 rifle. The piece features a long, slender quillback steel blade and wood grip scales.
