The dagger features a straight, double-edged chrome-plated steel blade, a brass crossguard with a secure latch, and a classic yellow synthetic grip. It includes its original brass-mounted leather scabbard. Manufactured at the Zlatoust Instrument Factory (ZIK) in 1958, this dagger was worn by Soviet army officers during military parades and ceremonial events of the Cold War.
