Original German Imperial Bavarian M1889 Cavalry Sword
This Bavarian cavalry sword features a long, single-edged steel blade with a single fuller, showing light age patina. The brass hilt has a detailed lion-head pommel and a folding guard, paired with a wire-wrapped composite grip. The matching steel scabbard shows minor wear. Introduced in 1889, this pattern served as the standard sidearm for Bavarian cavalry officers during the late Imperial era and the First World War. The weapon reflects the ornate military traditions of Bavaria, combining functional combat design with ceremonial prestige. The blade face is decorated with etched floral motifs and the Bavarian military motto. The folding guard features the Bavarian crest, while the lion-head pommel is adorned with red glass eyes. The scabbard has a single suspension ring.
