Offered here is an antique early 19th century German hunting short sword / dagger, attributed to J.A. Henckels (Solingen), one of the most respected German edged weapon and cutlery makers. Pieces by Henckels from this early period are highly regarded and collectible.

The blade features engraved decoration, consistent with hunting and sidearm weapons of the early 1800s. Blade form, engraving style, and overall construction align well with early 19th-century German manufacture, particularly Solingen production.
