US Eagle Head Officer Sword Circa 1805

A rare and exceptionally attractive American U.S. Eagle Head Officer's Sword dating to circa 1805, associated with the early Federal period and the era of the War of 1812. This impressive sword features a beautifully decorated engraved blade with blueing and gilt decoration. The blade remains in very good antique condition, with the blue and gilt decoration still clearly visible and presenting exceptionally well for its age.
