Exceptional antique rapier featuring a three-edged blade with etched, gilt, and blued decoration. The blade retains attractive period character, with light oxidation and natural signs of age. The sword has a beautifully carved hilt and guard, with an elaborately decorated pommel and knuckle bow showcasing fine craftsmanship and intricate detailing. Complete with the leather scabbard and brass fittings, as well as the sword tassel/knot (portepee). A highly decorative and desirable example with excellent collector appeal. Condition: Good antique condition with expected age-related wear. Light oxidation is present on portions of the blade.
