An Early, Circa 1850, Chinese, Double, Butterfly Sword with Scabbard! A very impressive, early double, butterfly sword with beautiful brass hilts and mounts! The hilts rate very good and show a dark patina. The crossguards are slightly loose. The grips rate good with slight wear and one side showing slight loss and a small crack. The blades rate fair and show pitting, wear and a few tiny nicks. The blades are sharp. The blades measure 16 1/4” long X 1 1/8" wide. The decorative, scabbard rates very good and shows wear and a dark patina to its beautiful brass fittings. The shagreen shows some shrinkage and separation. Overall, an Early, Rare, Chinese, Double, Butterfly Sword!
