For sale is a rare German WWII Fireman’s Axe, complete with its period hanger and leather frog. These axes were part of the ceremonial and dress equipment of WWII-era German fire brigades and are increasingly hard to find with all components present.
The axe head shows the correct wartime form with honest age-related wear, including light scratches and patina. The wooden handle is solid and displays expected period use. The hanger and frog show natural aging but remain sturdy and fully functional.
Condition: Overall good vintage condition with visible signs of age and handling.
A great piece for WWII collectors or fire service history enthusiasts.
