The sword retains its brass scabbard, exhibiting natural age-related patina and several small dents consistent with its considerable age. The blade fits into the scabbard easily, with a slight amount of natural play. The blade features engraved decoration and an attractive patina, displaying the natural character expected from an antique of this period. The hilt is particularly impressive, with a beautifully executed guard and knuckle bow, complemented by an exceptionally detailed eagle-head pommel with deep, crisp workmanship.
