Antique WWI German M1889 Prussian Officer’s Sword – P.O. & Co. Solingen w/ Scabbard

Up for sale is a German M1889 Prussian Officer’s Sword from the World War I era, manufactured by P.O. & Co., Solingen. This regulation officer’s sidearm was carried by Imperial German officers and is a fine example of late 19th to early 20th-century Solingen craftsmanship.

Period: World War I (circa 1914–1918)

Blade: Straight, double-fullered blade, marked on the ricasso; retains good polish with light patina and expected age wear.

Hilt: Brass guard with the Prussian eagle emblem on the guard plate; grip with wire wrap intact.

Scabbard: Blackened steel scabbard with single suspension ring with signs of age.

Condition: Very good antique condition. Blade clean with visible maker’s marking, hilt solid, grip wire intact.
